Sand, Beach, Babies, Sun, & Fun

Two Saturday's ago Justin and I read the forecast and saw it was supposed to be 106 degrees. We decided we would skip town early that morning and head for the Beach in Capitola! We invited the Stone's to come along with us! Thanks to Heidi & Clay the six of us were able to take one vehicle. We packed a cooler full of food and snacks for lunch and left bright and early!
It was so gorgeous at 10AM!
We set up camp right in front of Zelda's!
This was a little someones first time to the beach. I think he was checkin out all the waves in this pic!
The minute this little guy hit the sand he was covered until the next AM!
I promise you we tried for a sibling pic and this was all we could get!
Austin could not get enough of the sand!
Sarah finally got him down for a nap! It lasted 30 minutes! Better than nothin!
We caught some rays!
Played with Mommy!
Played with Casey!
We dug holes and tried to make sand castles! I think he was sick of smiling for pics at this point!
Justin and Mike were there but spent most of there day out on a boat! At the end of the pier you can rent a fishing boat with a small motor for $20 an hour! They don't fish but they zoom around out there! All in all it was an amazing day! The temp was 85 and the water was amazing! We had dinner at Zelda's. We packed up the car and headed home. We got home at 9PM and it was still 96 degrees out!
The ride home was very very quiet! Look close can you see all the sand!
Can't wait until our next beach adventure!

Edamame anyone?

If you know me it's known that I LOVE my two kitties! Justin and I had sushi last night and he brought his edamame home. Little did we know our fur child loves edamame too!
Maybe he liked the salt?
Really?
Edamame stealer!
And since we talking kitties! Here's Ella out and about in our yard!
He prefers to stay on the porch!

Hope you got a laugh out of this! I sure did!

Russian River

Two weekends ago I had the opportunity to go to the Russian River for 4 days! And man was it relaxing!! We only left the small community once and that was to go champagne tasting at Korbel!

The families house I stayed has their name is up on the tree! I loved passing different streets and seeing so many names up on the trees. The majority of the weekend was spent playing shuffle board which I might add I fell in love with, going to Doggie beach, BBQing delicious food, playing poker, drinking wine, relaxing, and hanging with good friends.
I will leave with all my fun pics!
I can't wait to go up again this summer!! So much fun!

25 Years Old

About a month ago I turned 25! Eekk!! How time flies!
Justin got me the most amazing birthday present ever! He built me a raised vegetable bed, filled it with a mixture of soils, and let me pick all the veggies I wanted to plant in it! This is our first try at veggies but I think it's safe to say there doing pretty good!
We started with almost all small plants and a couple seeds, here is what it looked like day 1.
Here is what it looks like today about 5 ish weeks later. We also added a trellis on the back for the tomatoes and vines.
It's huge from day 1
I love anything spicy and hot so there a about 5 different kinds of peppers in here
A Mexi-bell pepper
The start of a green bell pepper
See those little tomatoes starting to grow!
Basil

We planted 3 types of tomatoes, squash, cucumbers, basil, oregano, bell peppers, jalapenos, mexi-bell peppers, red chile's, cilantro, and rosemary. I can't wait until we are eating veggies out of our garden! I have to say it's one of the best birthday presents ever!!!

Fifty Shades of Grey

Okay I jumped on the bandwagon with these books and I am oh so happy I did.
I read all THREE in a matter of days.
Book one was good (mind you the I don't think the book had any editing but oh well), BUT book two and three were amazing.
I love every second of them.
To me the second and third were just a love story. I literally didn't want these ones to end!!
If you haven't jumped on the bandwagon I suggest you do. I don't think you will regret it :)
